Learn about Jamestowne from Bill Young's Captain Gabriel Archer, our speaker for the meeting, who will present an account of the "hurricano" at sea encountered on the way to Jamestowne, and details about the dress, the food, and the lifestyle of the natives colonists encountered upon arrival. Hear a sobering retelling of the Starving Time's devastating toll. In his preparation for the presentation of Captain Gabriel Archer, Young wears clothing of the period which was carefully researched and handmade with accuracy to detail.
